How I Work

Therapy that feels like room to breathe.

You've likely had enough of being told what to think and how to feel. This is the opposite of that! It is a collaborative, unhurried process where you set the direction and we move only as fast as safety allows.

Before the "what," the "how"

Safety first, always.

If your nervous system spent years braced for judgment, no insight will land until your body believes it's safe. So we begin there.

You set the pace

Nothing is forced or rushed. We slow down, circle back, or pause whenever you need to. Consent is continuous.

No judgment, no doctrine

There's no "right" way to feel and no belief you have to hold. You can think out loud here without it being graded.

Your emotions are welcome

We pay attention to what you feel and where you feel it, gently building tolerance for emotion instead of overriding it.

Individual therapy

Coming home to yourself

The heart of this work is identity reclamation: separating who you were told to be from who you actually are, and slowly trusting the difference.

Untangling fear from truth

High-control systems install fear deep: fear of punishment, of doubt, of your own desires. Together we learn to notice those fearful thoughts without being ruled by them, so they lose their authority over your choices.

Rebuilding from your own values

Once the "shoulds" quiet down, a real question can surface: what actually matters to you? We'll explore your values and begin shaping a life, one with relationships, work, meaning, rest, that reflects your own identity rather than someone else's rulebook.

Calming a vigilant nervous system

Through experiential and somatic-informed work, we help your body learn that the danger has passed, easing the chronic anxiety, hyper-vigilance, and shame that so often linger.

When beliefs shift inside a relationship

When one partner deconstructs and the other doesn't, or both are changing at different speeds, it can shake the foundation you built together. Old agreements about meaning, family, parenting, and community suddenly feel up for renegotiation.

Reconnecting across difference

This isn't about deciding who's "right." It's about helping you both feel heard, grieve what's changed, and find respect and closeness that can hold your differences, whatever each of you comes to believe.

Couples & relational work

For relationships in transition

Mixed-faith and shifting-belief relationships carry a particular kind of strain. There's room here for both of you.

Note: I also welcome individuals whose relationship to family or community is strained by their leaving, even when those people will never sit on the couch with you.

What to expect

Starting is simpler than it feels

Three low-pressure steps, entirely at your pace.

A free consultation

We talk for 15–20 minutes by phone or video. You share what's bringing you in, ask anything, and get a feel for me. No commitment.

Settling in

If it feels right, we begin. The early sessions are about safety, trust, and understanding your story, not diving into the deep end (unless that is your speed, then dive away!).

The ongoing work

From there we move at a rhythm that fits you. This involves processing, reclaiming, and building, checking in often to keep the work yours.

Curious whether this is right for you?

That's exactly what a consultation is for. Reach out and we'll find out together. No pressure, no obligation.
